Notable New Products: Avocado Toast Chocolate Bars & Organic Protein Oats

In this week’s notable new products gallery, Jolly Llama expands its dairy-free frozen treat lineup, Fishwife launches two new sardine flavors that have been two years in the making and Compartes brings back a unique twist on one of the trendiest foods in America.

Jolly Llama

Dairy-free frozen treat brand Jolly Llama has expanded its portfolio with the addition of Half-Dipped Yogurt Bars. Available in five flavors at launch – Strawberry ‘N Cream, Cool Mint Chip, Coffee Espresso, Chocolate Fudge and Lemon Cheesecake – the bars can be found at Sprouts Farmers Market for a SRP of $4.99 per 4-count box.

Veggies Made Great

Frozen snack maker Veggies Made Great has introduced its latest innovation, Chocolate Chip Blondie Bites. The new offering is made with chickpeas, zucchini and butternut squash and contains 7 calories per serving. Veggies Made Great Chocolate Chip Blondie Bites will be exclusively available at Target stores nationwide this fall for a SRP of $6.19 per 10-count box.

Fishwife

After two years of R&D, Fishwife has launched tinned sardines in Preserved Lemon and Hot Pepper varieties. The sardines are sourced from the only MSC-certified sardine fishery in Europe, the Cornish sardine fishery, and packed in Galicia, Spain. Fishwife Preserved Lemon Sardines and Hot Pepper Sardines are both available via the brand’s website for $32 per 3-pack.

The Fresh Market

As summer begins to wind down, The Fresh Market is getting a head start on pumpkin spice season with the launch of its Fresh Market Pumpkin Spice Coffee. The seasonal blend features tasting notes of sweet pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and buttery pastry flavor. The Fresh Market Pumpkin Spice Coffee will begin rolling out to retailers this month and continue through September and October.

Popsmith

Newcomer snack brand Popsmith is looking to elevate classic popcorn with the debut of two flavors: Oh Sooo Buttery and Classic Kettle Corn. The former is made with popping corn, coconut oil and buttery salt while the latter features popping corn, coconut oil and a sugar and salt mix. Each 5-pack retails for $24 on the brand’s website. Additionally, the brand has announced the release of its Stovetop Popper, an at-home popcorn machine made from stainless steel, which is available for $199.

Bob’s Red Mill

Bob’s Red Mill has yet again grown its expansive oat portfolio with the addition of Protein Oats. Made with just one ingredient – whole grain rolled oats – the new offering has up to 60% more than regular oats, the brand claims. Organic Protein Oats are available in 32 oz. bags for a SRP of $10.29 while the conventional Protein Oats are offered in a 16 oz. bag for a SRP of $5.39.

Ark Foods

Ark Foods, a “modern-day farming company,” has unveiled its newest creation: the Korean BBQ Stir Fry Kit. The 100% plant-based kit features veggies, sauce and rice and has made its debut on the West Coast, with national distribution to follow.

Compartes

Gourmet chocolate brand Compartes has reimagined one of the trendiest foods in America, Avocado Toast, with the relaunch of its newest LTO. The Avacado Toast Bar made its debut in 2018, selling out in just a few weeks. The product is made with a base of white chocolate blended with avocado mash and studded with caramelized bits of toast. The Compartes Avacado Toast Bar is available exclusively through the brand’s website for $9.95 while supplies last.
