Not my gas stove, Joe

Aug 29, 2023

If global warming was really caused by human activity and our use of fossil fuels, why don’t we experience equally high temperatures in the middle of winter? It is more logical to conclude the Earth’s heating and cooling cycle is based on our proximity to the sun and changes in the sun’s temperature.

The idea that getting rid of our gas heaters and cook stoves would have a measurable effect on the Earth’s temperature defies reason.

This is typical of the types of responses we get from those who simply refuse to accept the facts of the matter. How the Bidens or the Obamas or the Trumps or anyone else behaves does not alter those facts. The laws of physics are indifferent to human wishes or behavior.

The amount of solar energy Earth receives has followed the Sun’s natural 11-year cycle of small ups and downs with no net increase since the 1950s. Over the same period, the global temperature has risen markedly. The Sun can influence Earth’s climate, but it isn’t responsible for the warming trend we’ve seen over recent decades. That warming is too rapid to be linked to changes in Earth’s orbit and too large to be caused by solar activity.

One of the “smoking guns” that tells us the Sun is not causing global warming comes from looking at the amount of solar energy that hits the top of the atmosphere. Since 1978, scientists have been tracking this and there has been no upward trend in the amount of solar energy reaching our planet.

A second smoking gun is that if the Sun were responsible for global warming, we would expect to see warming throughout all layers of the atmosphere, from the surface to the upper atmosphere (stratosphere). But what we actually see is warming at the surface and cooling in the stratosphere. This is consistent with the warming being caused by a buildup of heat-trapping gases near Earth's surface, and not by the Sun getting “hotter.” Source: IPCC.

Over the course of a decade, cold outbreaks can bring colder-than-normal winter conditions in lower latitudes. At the same time, warm outbreaks in higher latitudes bring warmer-than-normal temperatures—and these occur simultaneously. For example, a citrus crop in Texas might freeze while a dogsled race in Alaska is above freezing at the starting line. Source: Union of Concerned Scientists.

Normally, large scale vortices occur in places where their northern edge blocks the flow of frigid air from the arctic in the winter. Human caused warming disrupts these vortices and allows bitter cold air from the arctic to descend upon the northeastern U.S; hence, we have warming conditions in the arctic and colder condition at lower latitudes at the same time.

No wonder tinfoil is always out of stock up here.

Plenty of GAS here, keep hitting that Klaxon Bri. I don't think anyone is coming for your stove but you just keep up the guud investigative work. [lol]

Ron is full of heat trapping gas

Will someone please explain how 50 to 60 volcanoes erupt each year and depositing billions to trillions of chlorine and global warming chemicals in the atmosphere and no one seems to bring up that issue? That causes more damage to our atmosphere then say all of us driving vehicles. Please will someone explain how we had several hundreds of thousands if not millions of many global warming catastrophic events within the last 100 million years. Did dinosaurs and cave men have gas and propane stoves and drove around in their ancestor fossil fuels?

The only thing I heard about banning gas stoves is because they leak. Nothing to do with Biden, but you just keep on making this stuff up.
